Drew. One of my favourite singers out there, someone who’s never giving up, always getting better and better and he is just incredibly creative. I met him as the singer of The Mercy House but now he’s doing his own thing and it’s awesome!
How and where are you? How are things your end?
drew: in London, England. We are currently on lockdown here so trying to stay sane!
What do you do now you’re stuck at home?
drew. Mostly I’m working, writing and getting ready for the release of my debut album.
What’s the most frustrating thing for you these days?
drew: Not being able to get out and play, or socialise at all.
How do you find the silver lining?
drew: I think it’s been interesting how the pace of life has changed, it feels like there’s less pressure on things right now and more acceptance around going slow, reading a book and appreciating the things closest to you.
How’s your head?
drew: I’m doing pretty well, staying positive. It kind of feels like a good time to be creative and enjoy some r and r. 2019 was such a mad time so honestly I’m enjoying the break. However it is an anxious time and there’s a constant worry around money and having enough to get by amongst artists right now...
Any tips on how to cope with the lockdown?
drew: Learn some games, try to develop a routine and probably lots of exercise (I just bought an exercise bike for my sanity!).
